🐾 Our Story

Poil de Star was born from a very simple story: that of a family who loves their animals more than anything.

When we left France to immigrate to Canada, we had to make difficult choices — and Starlette, our little chihuahua, stayed with my parents until we got settled. This separation, even temporary, reminded us how much our four-legged companions hold a huge place in our lives. Every photo we receive of her, every video call where she comes to sniff the screen, we miss her a little more each day.

Here in Canada, it's Leo, my sister's cat, who brings us a breath of tenderness every day. Leo is more than just a cat — he's her baby. Playful, curious, and perfectly capable of giving his opinion on everything that comes into the house, he's the one who tests (and sometimes nitpicks) every product before it joins our store.

From this experience, a conviction was born: our animals deserve the best, wherever we are in the world. Poil de Star is our way of creating, from a distance and up close, a little extra happiness for Starlette, for Leo, and for all the companions who make our lives sweeter.

Every product sold on Poil de Star is chosen with the same high standards we would have for our own animals: safety, quality, and that little extra soul that makes all the difference.

Based in Montreal, our store ships to Canada and several European countries.
